Streaked Weaver

Common Name: Streaked Weaver
Other Names: Striated Weaver, Manyar Weaver

Identifying Features: Streaked underparts, yellow head, black front part, black eyes, light brown legs, usually perching on shrubs

Fun Facts:

  • Streaked weaver is named after its characteristic striations present on the lower body which differentiate it from Baya weaver.
  • Streaked weavers build their nests in small colonies around water bodies.
