Identifying Features: short tail, large head, long pointed beak, orange brown belly, blue wings, eats fish

Fun Facts:

  • Kingfishers fly very swiftly around the low waters which seems to be a quick flash of blue.
  • Their main activity is to hover around the water body with whirring wings before diving to catch fish.
