Identifying Features: white beak, white forehead, black body, water bird.
Fun Facts:
- The Common Coot is not really a duck but is actually a moorhen. They can dive upto 2 meters for searching food!
- Coots show a kleptoparasitic behaviour. When not in the mood to hunt their own food, a Coot will steal food from other birds!
