Common Name: White-tailed Lapwing
Other Name: White-tailed plover

Identifying Features: brown body, yellow legs, black beak, grey breast, pale face

Fun Facts:

  • In some parts of its distribution range the species faces threats related to habitat destruction and unintentional poaching.
  • The breeding season call is a peewit, similar to northern lapwing.
