Red-throated Flycatcher

Scientific Name: Ficedula (parva) albicilla 
Common Names: Red-throated Flycatcher, Taiga Flycatcher
Other Names: Tambula

Identifying Features: black tail, plain long wings, large head, grey body, white breast, small black beak, orange throat

Fun Facts:

  • It is very difficult to distinguish Red-throated Flycatcher from Red-breasted Flycatcher.
  • Adult male birds have orangy-red throat which makes them attractive.
