Identifying Features: short greenish-grey legs, long straight dark bill, brown body from top, white belly with streaks
Fun Facts:
- It is the most common migrant snipe in southern India, Sri Lanka and much of Southeast Asia.
- They nest in a well-hidden location on the ground. They mainly eat insects and earthworms, but also some plant material.
