Identifying Features: black head, black upperparts, red underparts, black legs, black beak, female has grey and yellow body

Fun Facts:

  • Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
  • Usually found in pairs or small flocks. Gives a pleasant “dee-dee” and a rolling “pr’wee, pr’wee!”.
