Identifying Features: slender and long beak, pin-like central pair of long feathers, black necklace, reddish brown head and neck, green coloUr, small size

Fun Facts:

  • They are known as slow starters in the morning and can be found bill tucked in their back even after the sunrise.
  • These are also known for taking frequent dust-bath unlike other species of  bee-eaters.
