Other Name: Gugral, Indian Spot-billed Duck, Spotbill
Identifying Features: yellow tipped dark bill, brown patterned plumage, grey body
Fun Facts:
  • Spot-billed Ducks hybridize naturally with mallards and some other species of ducks.
  • Their names mainly refer to the red spots present at the base of their yellow-tipped black beak. This characteristic feature is absent in female species.
