Identifying Features: metallic green bronze wings, yellow bill, white eyestripe, long grey legs, coot-like shield, long toes

Fun Facts:

  • They have spider-like toes which help them to walk over the leaves present in water.
  • Their appearance resembles the common moorhen and other rails suach as coots.
