Common Name: Black-tailed Godwit

Identifying Features: long bill with yellow base and dark tip, brown grey upperparts, orange head and breast, dark grey legs.

Fun Facts:

  • Black-tailed godwits are mostly monogamous.
  • The most common call is a strident weeka weeka weeka.
